If you really want to get started you need to have something like photo shop elements as a programme. A couple of sites that I use are http//www.snapandscrap.net where you can complete challenges every month for free kit. They also do a newsletter with tutorials etc. Another good give away site is scrapwow.net. and their sister site RAK which has a link from scrapwow Scrapgirls.com also is dedicated to digi scrapping and do a newsletter with a freebie every few days and lots of tutorials. Just get in there and take the plunge. It is definitely cheaper as you can use the stuff again and again, but you don't get the touching you get with paper albums. As for whether it’s cheaper, it is cheaper since you don’t have to print the photos themselves or perhaps buy papers and embellishments, so you may only have the cost of printing out what you’ve created.
